ECO-Buy applies green procurement principles to the events and training sessions we hold, drawing on guidance we developed for our members. This includes, where possible:

• Minimising transport emissions by locating events near public transport and encouraging visitors to use this option
• Selecting catering with strong sustainability credentials (for example organic and fairtrade certified)
• Minimising resource use and maximising recycling at the event
• Minimising the Greenhouse gas emissions associated with powering the event (for example through use of Greenpower and emissions offsets)
